This overhead view from a hotel window – from memory, remember – is captioned and the writing is backwards. That surprised me! So we see the brain works a bit differently when we use the ‘other’ hand.
And the details these drawings capture surface from stored memory, directly from our 'organic knowing.'
Returning from a canyonlands trip, and using my left — non-dominant hand — I recalled, on paper, my impressions or visual memories, of some scenes I had experienced. The ease and immediacy of the images that appeared was a magical thing, as my recollection was ‘automatic’ and flowed without me pre-thinking.
